Opportunities to Volunteer

Miss Fannies Friends could not exist without volunteers.   We rely on the assistance of caring and hard working volunteers in all of our programs. Volunteers who work directly with the animals can increase an animal’s chances of adoption by providing additional human contact. Volunteers also help us inform the community of the missions and objectives of Miss Fannie's Friends.

Ways to Volunteer

  • Cattery:  Involves help with the daily upkeep of our cattery,  includes cleaning litter boxes, sweeping and mopping.  Have the opportunity to love and interact with our cats.

  • Adoption Events: Our cats need to be transported to and from the events, help is needed setting up and tearing down the cages.

  • Fundraising Events: Help at our fundraising events by setting up, tearing down and manning booths, working our registration table, selling our merchandise, asking for donations at our food drives, and helping communicate our cause.

  • TNR:  Assist in trapping free roaming cats, taking them to the veterinarian to be spayed or neutered, picking them up from the clinic, and caring for them until they are  recovered and returned to their colony or caretaker.

  • Route Runners:  Travel to and leave food for colony cats.

  • Medical care:  Administer medicine, transporting cats to and from the clinic.

  • Administrative/Computer: Maintaining and updating sites including Adoptapet;  filing and maintaining our financial and medical records.
